TRÍPTICO DE CUERDAS

Tríptico I

Three Frames. Two rounds. Eleven bodies.

The work began as a sketch: three purpose-built bed frames, rope web structures as foundation, a loose list of possible materials: flowers, fabric, chains, objects brought from home. A reference: the assemblage cover of Jane’s Addiction’s Ritual de lo Habitual.

Participants had organized themselves, sourced materials, and built something beyond what had been outlined. The frames Liebre Azul and I had strung with rope became stages for two rounds of collective decoration. Each group layering bodies, objects, and personal talismans into living tableaux.

The result is two triptychs: carnivalesque, dense, unapologetically bodily. Each panel holds its own logic while reading as part of a whole. The excess was inevitable.

Created during Bogotá Shibari Week 2026, Colombia.
